Gary Estcourt is a trained archaeologist based on the New South Wales central coast, whose passion for history and the stories of everyday people has fuelled his debut novel. His background in archaeology allows Gary to bring a unique perspective to his storytelling, weaving together history, romance, and just a hint of the supernatural.
When he’s not delving into the past or writing, Gary can be found exploring new and exciting ways to injure himself in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
I’ve just finished reading The Amalfi Curse by Sarah Penner. With maritime archaeology, streghe (Italian witches, I’m half Italian), it seemed like the perfect book for me. I really enjoyed it. My only quibble is that the last third felt a little rushed, I’d have loved more time in that world.
